Allison Allred
Answer U ManagerAllison started working at the J. Willard Marriott Library in 2017 as a student employee while working on her Undergraduate Degree in English and became a fulltime employee in 2021. Graduating with her BA was a long journey that started in Fall 2013 and ended in Spring 2021. While that time was difficult and had years-long gaps between semesters, she credits her support systems (on and off campus) for helping her graduate. She finds the most fulfilling work in facilitating information and access for all.
Scott Bigler
Associate Director, Information and OperationsScott provides strategic leadership for the Marriott Library’s Information & Operations department and the Answer U program, ensuring high-quality, user-centered access to resources, information, and support services. His role collaborates with library and campus partners to advance student success, improve service delivery, and oversee Answer U’s campus partnerships, operations, and support technologies.
Quentin Blanchard
Student Computing Services TechniciansQuentin is a technician for Student Computing Services and the Knowledge Commons Desk, which is the service desk located on Level 2 of the Marriott Library. He’s responsible for seeing to the punctual processing of technology equipment requests and poster prints, as well as managing the desk in the evening. Quentin is an alumnus of the University of Utah, and enjoys going to the movies, playing board games, and listening to music.
Devin Donaldson
Student Computing Services SupervisorDevin has worked in Student Computing Services at the Marriott Library for over 20 years, starting as an undergraduate student. He is a supervisor at the Knowledge Commons desk, located on Level 2, where students can check out equipment, print posters, or get assistance with lab computers, library research, campus information, and campus technology.
Simon Griffen
Information and Operations Evening/Sunday SupervisorSimon has been working at the Marriott Library for over four years as a student employee and now a full-time supervisor in the Information and Operations department. As an undergraduate student, he provides a valuable perspective on what resources are valuable to students at the University of Utah. At the Marriott Library, Simon supervises circulation operations and supports the delivery of accessible services for students, faculty, staff, and community members. He mentors and trains student employees to provide excellent patron assistance and fosters a welcoming service environment. As part of his role, Simon helps connect students with a broad network of campus resources, including academic, financial, wellbeing, and student life services.
Zach Hogge
Information and Operations Day/Saturday SupervisorZach oversees the day-to-day operations at our level 1 & 3 entrance desks, assist patrons in getting access to resources and books, and answer questions to help students navigate their college experience. In my spare time I like to thrift shop, read, see movies, and cook.
Sam Holladay
Information and Operations Day SupervisorSam trains and supervises staff, prepares the Marriott Library for opening, manages the Library Lost & Found, and provides user centered service at the entrance desks and throughout the Library. He enjoys going to movies, concerts, and live theater.
Eddie Johnson
Information and Operations Night SupervisorEddie oversees evening public service operations and leads the training and development of the Marriott Library’s frontline staff. As the initial point of contact for the Answer U initiative, Eddie manages the entrance service desks to connect students with answers to questions, solutions to problems, and essential campus resources. Dedicated to creating an accessible and welcoming environment, he ensures students with more complex or nuanced questions are seamlessly referred to Answer U generalists and specialized support services. Alongside his supervisory role, Eddie is a student at the University of Utah studying Electrical Engineering. He balances his academic and professional goals with a love for the outdoors, following baseball, and keeping up with gaming and esports.
Daniel Marsh
Student Computing Services SupervisorDaniel is a supervisor on the Student Computing Services team at the Knowledge Commons desk, located on Level 2 of the Marriott Library. The Knowledge Commons desk assists with equipment checkout, printing and poster printing, library research, campus information, and campus technology.
April Ollivier
Answer U GeneralistApril’s top priority is to support students as they navigate the university’s vast and varied offices and resources. April loved her undergraduate and graduate school experience and she wants all students to take advantage of the opportunities in front of them. She is a certified Inside Track Coach and Trainer and she has worked in higher education the last twenty years in various advising roles. April also enjoys peak hiking, mountain biking, tennis, and oil painting in her free time.
MJ Todd (they/them)
Answer U GeneralistMJ helps students navigate the university and connect to the resources they need to succeed. MJ has prior experience in higher education, adult literacy, and archives. They have degrees in history with a focus on museum studies and public engagement. Outside of work, MJ enjoys drawing, reading, and spending time with their daughter (a cat).
Angela Wilkins
Knowledge Commons Manager and Student Computing Services LeadAngela manages the Knowledge Commons desk, which is the service desk located on level 2 of the Marriott Library. Angela also oversees the Student Computing Services team, which is responsible for maintaining and processing technology equipment from the Knowledge Commons collection as well as processing online equipment requests, as well as supervising to current University of Utah student employees who staff the Knowledge Commons. She is a Utah native, and alumni of the University of Utah. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her partner and pets. She loves watching movies, going on walks, and traveling.
